SAFE THROUGH DESIGN

WHAT WE THINK YOU ARE GOING TO FACE

Safety and health are important factors to address in the beginning phases of opening up the communities we live in. We think you will face a diverse population, with some willing to enter and utilize public spaces while others may be more hesitant to venture out of their homes. Individuals coming into a public environment might want to see obvious and measured precautions through layout and operations. We see a few simple solutions that can be addressed during this process to insure a safe step toward normalcy.

A CHANGE IN WORDING

As cities begin to open up, the community will begin to leave their homes and rebuild a new sense of normal. With so much time spent at home, social interaction will be an important aspect of getting back to daily routine and re-entering the community. Instead of calling it “social distancing” we propose addressing it as “physical distancing” to best underline the ability to socialize without compromising health and safety concerns.
